Serufusa grew up in Kenya & Uganda and made his name in China. Don’t mistake his creative outputs for breezy summertime fare.
As an activist for some of the most urgent societal issues , he comes from the point of view of underdogs, outcasts and misfits. He brings a new perspective, incisive wit and ‘clean’ vibe to rap, hip-hop and World music. His social commentary combines a ‘vintage’ rap sound with modern material to thrilling effect.

New Album “The Solutionary Manifesto” Out Now
Over ten songs, Serufusa’s new album “The Solutionary Manifesto” is a rallying cry for society to stand up and rise against issues we all should care about such as the mental health crisis; rising anti-immigrant sentiment; diseases disproportionately affecting the poor in the Global South; toxic masculinity; and many other issues.
The album charts Serufusa’s life’s experiences in a way that resonates with many. Majority of the songs are in English but some in Swahili and Mandarin Chinese. Featuring lush production done in Beijing, London and Kampala, it’s his most accomplished album to date.
